Friendliness of staff especially those in the bar

A little expensive for the facilities

I though the staff were helpful and friendly. Room was ok..

The shower was pretty poor. I would suggest that £60 would have been a fairer price than the £75 I was charged

Thought the hotel was in need of a referb. There was a smell in the dining room, which we thought was probably the carpets. My evening meal was a bit overcooked.

The room needs some tlc , mainly the Bathroom , very dated .

Staff very attentive and the room was lovely

    Nice location. Helpful reception staff.

We were in a large 'family' room, with a second single bed. But the double bed was uncomfortably small for us, so we ended up using the single as well..

Room affected by noisy roof fans

The friendliness of all staff. Very welcoming. I would recommend this hotel to anyone,

Perhaps is approaching the time for reurbishment o some areas.

We've stayed 3 times and the satff are always very helpfuul and welcoming

Menu hasn't changed in the last 15mths or so. They do however have 1 Special

The staff made the different during my visit. Very friendly and incredibly helpful, they couldn't do enough for you.

As a business traveller staying for 3 nights I felt £15 was a little excessive for internet access in the room and also most hotels offer free WiFi in the bar area, but being charged £3 for an hour seemed rather unfair. It meant that unless I was willing to pay £15 for the stay and sit in my room every night I was unable to get much work done. However I understand that you do have to make some money.

  • Couple

The staff were very friendly and nice.

The hotel is in short, shabby. The mattress must have been there since 1979 as there were no springs left. The bathroom doesn't even have proper flooring (some poor substitute lino thing). In need of major refurbishment. The whole thing felt cheap. It is a hostel standard for the price of a proper hotel! Really poor breakfast as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break, the staff were fantastic, menu 1st class & top beer!! Excellent location for a visit to the Yorkshire Dales.

    Extremely friendly staff. Good meal.

Pricey & lack of bar relaxing area.
